The Last Rose of Summer (2024) 

ConAnima Pro bono productions comissioned a choreography from Inkorpora Dance to take part in their concert Suomi, Luonto, Musiikki performed in Uusi Paviljoinki in Kauniainen.

Dance for Two (2023)10th anniversary performance

To celebrate the ten years of Inkorpora Dance we did a little journey trhough dance history from ballet to contemporary dance and visited also couple social dances originated in different periods, with great guest dancers for each style. We also presented a piece with inkorpora students & team & guest musicians and a talk on dance partnering.

Through Time: a Step of Two

Presents various dance partnering styles performances concluding with a talk with guest dancers Lyylia Koivuniemi, Marco Di Salvo, Maria Prokhorova, Jeve Jeprintsev, Kay Werndli, Tanja Wingerter, Freddy Marinho, Andressa Castelhano, Nina  Pastel and Maria Ga'tsal.

The Journey of Movement (2023) 

A series of lectures on movement and dance

The series presented seven lectures on specific topics on dance and moivement which were interconnected..The aim was to open a guided but spontaneous conversation with the atendees to explore various perspectives and points of view. The last lecture was presented at the 10th annivrersary event of Inkorpora Dance Project along side dance performances representative of the topic discussed:

II Summer Intensive (2023)      Demonstration 

In 2023 we had our second summer intensive course and initiated a collaboration with Casualbutpro, a project that organizes training for professional dancers. In the final demonstration the course participants performed excerpts from ballet  and contemporary classes, choreoraphies rehearsed at the choreography classes and classical ballet variations practiced at the repertoire classes. The presentation was leaded by teachers Silvia Verges & Lyylia Koivuniemi.

Brief Dances (2023)

the piece presents the journey of a dancer through three dances from the moment that enters into a quiet and empty space to all what it evokes sharing the dancing with fellow performers and the audience.

Passages & Waltzes (2020-2022)   

During the pandemic years most perfromances were canceled, however the artistic and creative endeavor never ceased around the world. we also worked on ideas for a double bill evening that inteneded to celebrate life, dance and the act of sharing. We were finally able to present the production in Spring 2022.

Based on the famous ballet The Nutcracker, this version tells the story a bit differently bringing all musicians on stage and playing roles in the story alongside the dancers. The Chamber Nutcracker is a winter tale for the whole family full of, dance, music and magic.

Farewell (2018)

Farewell is a short film that tells about the  endless hours of a dancer's practice and repetition. At the end it might be all summed in evanescent stage moments.

With the use of extrem close ups and open shots the film searches out to portray the work on detail and nuances of a dance as well as to evoke the remoteness of memories and the expectancy of what's to come.

Aquarelles (2016)

​

Aquarelles presents four pieces from three choreographers with very different aesthetic, dance and music styles. All explore similar concepts such as envisioning, sketching, and describing impressions of various images and landscapes. With costumes by Anna Mikkilä and lighting by Edward Leonard.

La Visión de Don Quijote (2016)

​

This piece tells about the famous chapter about the windmill from Don Quijote de la Mancha by Cervantes. Don Quijote attacks the windmill, believing that it is a giant, and after falling unconscious has a vision of his beloved Dulcinea del Toboso.

The piece combines dance, martial arts, and live music and was commissioned by Kolibri Festival.

Tilat aims to evoke the timeless quality of emotions captured in spaces, presenting opposite situations of movement and stillness, nearness and distance, absence and presence, and longing and belonging.

 

 

Goldberg Variations (2015)

​

Collaborative staging by Inka Eerola (violin), Pasi Vuoti (viola), Mika Seppänen (cello), Erika Alajärvi, Inka Tiitinen, Maria Tamminen & Silvia Verges (choreography & dance)

​

The String trio Kvartz Productions invited three choreographers from different dance styles to make  a collaborative choreography on the Goldberg Variations by Johann Sebastian Bach exploring differents moods, approaches and interpretations of Bach's music.

Singer-song writer Lucie Niemelä  comissioned a choreography from Inkorpora Dance Project for the song's video promotion. The song describes poetically the journey of a couple that has shared a long relationship with all its ups and downs. They are looking back and contemplate the seeds they together have passed on to the world.

Koko Ajan is a dance-theatre piece that describes the constant hectic rhythm of society but how, at times, someone may stop and slow down. The piece follows a short story of a man lost in the midle of that hectic rhythm... Perhaps there are unnoticed things that have been right there all the time but he could not see.
