Choreography,
Sharings & Performances
Our main aim is to join together in choreography workshops and projects to immerse in creation processes that range from remaking existing repertoire to making new dance pieces and ballets. The workshops are an open space for experimenting and searching for expression of ideas. We explore also the interaction between dance, music and different arts.

We present the workshop pieces in studio sharings or in stage productions. We also collaborate with other artists and organizatons productions and offer comissioned works.

Music & Dance
At Inkorpora Dance Project we wish to bring live music into the dance studio and on stage, which nowadays is a privilege of the few because it is always cheaper to use the technology and recorded music.

We work often with classical music or original music made for acoustic instruments and we believe the best way to listen at it is having the musicians on stage. We are glad to collaborate with eventual guest musicians for our activities and performances which enhance the experience for the dancers and audiences.
Classical Ballet
At Inkorpora Dance Project we aim to offer versatile ballet classes that respect the traditional foundations of the ballet technique but also explore creative ways to combine the steps, work on musical aspects and support all kind of dancers´styles trainings.

Ballet first originated in the Italian renaissance and it became a professional art in the 17th century in France. Nowadays there are professional ballet companies all over the world and ballet technique is also very much used as a support training for dancers of other styles, as well as becoming popular among amateur dancers.
Contemporary Dance

In the contemporary dance classes we offer styles that are influenced by the release technique which was developed by the postmodern dancers in the early 70's in U.S. Release-based styles seek to let go of unnecessary holding patterns and enable economy and greater efficiency in dancing. As such, the practice of those techniques can enhance any other dance and movement practices.

Modern Jazz
Jazz dance expands on African-American vernacular styles of dance that arose with jazz music in USA in the mid 20th century. The term jazz dance alludes also to Broadway shows, Hollywood choreographies or dramatic jazz. Since the 1990s, the term jazz has been used in ways that has little or nothing to do with jazz music, like classes in which students dance to pop music.

Our jazz classes offer Simonsson jazz technique based warmup, across the floor combinations and a final choreography. With music inspired from different rhythms and genres. Music and joy of dancing are key elements in our classes. Let's dance!
Body conditioning
& Somatics
The somatic techniques help to recover from and prevent injury and to enhance physical awareness and wellbeing. The somatic techniques are beneficial for anyone. In the classes we do exercises of articulation of the spine and the whole body structures, strengthening and stretching.
Modern Somatics are preceded by Asian movement practices such as yoga. In Western culture several somatic techniques such as Pilates, Feldenkrais, Alexander and other techniques were developed throughout the twentieth century. Athletes, dancers and actors practice somatic techniques as support for their training. Somatics are increasingly practiced in society.
Students & Teachers
Our courses are for kids aged 6 to 10, teens and adults. Besides our regular teachers and courses, we have also guest teachers and choreographers visiting us to give short courses or workshops to share their insights and expertise to enrich the participants experience and learning. We also offer training for professional dancers.

All the courses are open for both our regular and also occasional 'drop in' students of all backgrounds. We can always learn not just from teachers but also from our classmates' various experiences and aims when joining a same class.
